We bring you a look behind the scenes of the INNOSOC project through an interview with Ing. Dominika Toman, PhD., assistant professor at the Department of Management Theories, Faculty of Management Science and Informatics, University of Žilina. In the project, she plays a key role in supporting project management and coordinating people.
The project’s significance for the public and professional practice
According to Dominika Toman, the project’s main benefit for both the general and the professional public is above all broadening horizons in cybersecurity. The project focuses on passing on basic information about solutions that can help in this important field.
The following activities are particularly important for professional practice:
- Intensive publishing and presenting information at professional conferences.
- Producing reviews of the most suitable solutions for supporting cybersecurity.
- Preparing materials for employee training that will help organisations use new security solutions effectively.
Personal development and collaboration
Taking part in the project has also given the researchers themselves valuable experience. Dominika Toman highlighted that thanks to INNOSOC she has gained a great deal of new information and significantly improved her management and coordination skills.
The project also creates room for intensive communication with partners, not only within academia but also directly with practitioners, which contributes to producing high-quality, usable outputs.
